Transport for London No2 Bill (Complain)

Dear Sir/Madam,

I would like to bring to your attention again to the London Local authorities and transport for London (no.2) bill. If this bill in its present form gains royal assent and becomes law some local authorities will be placing pedicab bays/waiting areas (ranks) all over the West End and other parts of London, you should note the signage for these bays as been approved by the dep’t of transport even though the bill hasn’t even passed through the house of Lords just yet. The Voluntary nature though of this registration scheme makes a mockery of the very system I am required to comply with. I pay taxes, licence fees, obey the law and never get consulted about any matter affecting my lively hood, yet those who block roads, delay traffic, endanger life by reckless riding seem to have the support of those in authority to bring in some of the most lax lazy legislation I have ever seen.

I would also like to bring to your attention the failure of the dep’t of transport to actually test whether pedicabs and the construction of are a suitable method and mode of transport to carry fare paying passengers on the public highway.

I would therefore urge you to say NO to clause 19 and seriously consider placing pedicabs in the many parks across London where they belong.

Yours Sincerely,
