The Hurlingham club success story
The Hurlingham club would like to thank all drivers that picked up Tuesday night 250 cabs were used by the club we covered 249. 1 went to the minicabs.
Between 8pm and 10:30 pm on Tuesday night the Hurlingham club needed taxis for a function of 900 people so security contacted Lee aka @Leewd19 on Twitter, then Lee passed on this information to all the drivers who receive e-mails via the forum, of which I am one. I then passed this info onto all drivers that follow tag-hit-squad on Twitter.
There were two marshals placed outside pulling cabs in. First there was Mike aka @mike1tinnion1 standing at the foot of Wandsworth bridge, sending cabs into the rear entrance of the club, then there was Dizzy standing on the Kings road, with the extra help from the street they managed to cover all the work.
This is one of the taxi trades success stores, a well organized event by drivers not originations or unions. It just goes to show what can be achieved.
The hurlingham club have a list of 15 minicab firms that cover that amount of work, you can imagine the amount of phone calls they would have to make to cover it.
One of the minicab firms on their list is the one that works outside Embargos on the Kings road, well it used to be, they have now been struck off the list, thats because one of our drivers named Lee got hit in the face by their (CBJ) Clip board johnny.
Be lucky, Steve.
